Within the scope of the 62nd Anniversary of December 21–25 Resistance and Martyrs’ Week, which marks the beginning of the National Resistance in the history of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the “Talk with Heroes” event organized by our university was successfully held.

The event took place at the KIBU Conference Hall and brought together the living witnesses of the resistance years, including Mücahide Meryem Karip, Mücahide Nurten Canbulat, Mücahid Hasan Onbaşı, and TMT Fighter and Former Mayor of Mehmetçik, Beyazid Adalier, who shared their experiences and testimonies with the participants.

Moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülyüz Debeş, the program addressed the historical process of the Turkish Cypriot people’s honorable struggle, the sacrifices made during the resistance years, and the importance of preserving national consciousness.

The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, followed by expressions of gratitude and a commemorative photo session. Our university will continue to organize academic and cultural events that contribute to strengthening national historical awareness.
