Prof. Dr. Canan HECER is one of the prominent veterinary food hygiene and technology researchers of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. She graduated from Uludağ University as a Veterinary Practitioner in 1988. She got her PhD from the same university in veterinary food hygiene and technology in 1997.
She got her tenure professorship in 2013. She published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals, attended numerous scientific meetings, and participated in various scientific research projects. For the complete list of our Rector’s publications, please click here.
Throughout her career, Prof. Dr. Hecer served as head of the department, dean, vice rector and rector of different Turkish universities. She has been leading Cyprus West University to a solid and prosperous future as the Rector since September 2023.
