An associate degree is awarded to those who successfully complete all courses in at least the first four semesters of a bachelor’s program. Applications for obtaining an associate degree are not limited by any time frame. Those who have successfully completed all courses in at least four semesters or at least 60% of the courses in the bachelor’s program, but have not completed or are unable to complete the program, can apply to be transferred to similar and suitable programs at colleges, provided they meet the application requirements.

The Vertical Transition Exam is an exam conducted by the Higher Education Council, allowing students who graduate from associate degree programs to transition to four-year bachelor’s degree programs. Based on the exam results, students who enroll in our university will be registered in the third year (excluding preparatory year). However, the duration of study may vary depending on course exemptions determined by the relevant department, so the graduation process can differ between programs.
Our Career Development Office works closely with our students to help them discover themselves, increase their individual awareness, understand sectors and current trends, gain systematic self-development skills, and become employable and competitive graduates through seminars, industry meetings, leadership and entrepreneurship training, certification programs, and career coaching support.
Students can suspend their registration for a minimum of one semester and a maximum of two semesters in associate degree programs, and for a maximum of four semesters (not exceeding two semesters at a time) in bachelor’s programs, based on valid reasons and decisions from the relevant board. The tuition fees for the suspended period will be deducted from the next tuition fee. These periods do not count towards the maximum study duration.
Our university is a foundation university.
The registration dates, locations, and required documents for those placed in our university by ÖSYM are available in the ÖSYM Guide and on our website.

Students who have taken at least the normal course load and have a cumulative GPA between 3.50 and 4.00 at the end of an academic year, and who do not have grades of NA, I, FF, FD, E, W, or F, are considered high honor students. Those with a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49, also without the aforementioned grades, are considered honor students, and they are awarded the honor or high honor certificate. In determining the top students of universities, faculties, colleges, or programs, if the success averages are equal, priority is given to students who have participated in all semesters, including those who have transferred horizontally or vertically.

Enrollment can be frozen for reasons such as military service, illness, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances, provided they are documented.
Students whose enrollment has been frozen cannot participate in educational activities and are not allowed to take midterm and final exams during that semester. Requests to freeze enrollment must be made at the beginning of the semester and before the course registration period ends. After this period, applications can only be submitted in cases of health issues, military service, disasters, and similar extraordinary circumstances. Therefore, for applications to be processed, it is necessary to obtain a health report from healthcare institutions, ensuring that the report covers the mandatory attendance period of the semester in which enrollment will be frozen, as well as documentation for military service, disasters, and similar situations.
A Makeup Exam is held for students who cannot attend midterm exams due to valid reasons. Students must submit a document stating their excuse along with a petition to the relevant dean’s office/department within five days of the exam date. Students whose excuses are accepted by the relevant board will have a makeup exam scheduled within fifteen days after the end of the exams. There is no makeup exam opportunity for final exams.
A Single Course Exam is available for students who have reached the graduation stage and have not failed any course due to attendance issues.
Students who have passed all other courses but received an FF or FD grade in only one course are eligible for this exam. However, students who cannot achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00 even if they receive an AA in that course are not granted the opportunity for a Single Course Exam.
The Single Course Exam is held within one month following each final exam period on a date determined by the relevant board. To take the exam, a student must submit a petition to the relevant dean’s office/department indicating the course they wish to take and stating that they would like to use their Single Course Exam right for the first time.
To be considered successful in the Single Course Exam, a student must achieve at least 50 points (equivalent to a DD grade) out of 100. Students who fail the Single Course Exam can apply for this exam again by submitting a petition for the same course in each exam period.
