Administrative Departments

The Student Affairs Unit is responsible for managing the processes related to students at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels within the framework of regulations, including those involving ÖSYM, YÖK, YÖDAK, KYK, and ASAL, from enrollment to graduation.

Processes Conducted by the Unit:

  • Registration of students who qualify for education through ÖSYM (YKS-DGS), horizontal transfers (intra-institutional and inter-institutional), special students, graduate programs, double major, and minor programs, along with the creation of their personal files.
  • Managing transactions related to students with status changes (cancellation of registration, suspension of registration, resolution of registration, graduation, etc.) and notifying YÖKSİS and YÖDAK.
  • Preparing student documents.
  • Writing, archiving, mailing, and following up on official correspondence related to students, both internally and externally.
  • Processing students who are exempt from the Turkish and English preparatory programs, defining the courses to be taught, instructors, offered programs, and the academic calendar in the system.
  • Checking and updating information on the university’s website, including the Frequently Asked Questions, Prospective Students, and Student Affairs Unit pages, publishing announcements, responding to incoming emails, redirecting inquiries to relevant units, and reporting.
  • Preparing Foundation Supervision Forms, Activity Reports, and various information/statistics requested by the Rectorate and other official institutions, as well as reporting YKS-DGS and horizontal transfer quotas to YÖKSİS.
  • Completing the processes for students nearing graduation, printing diplomas, and sending them for registration (to the Ministry of Education of the TRNC), preparing diploma supplements, honorable mentions, and high honor certificates, printing the diploma and diploma supplement registry, distributing diplomas, and managing diploma loss procedures.

This unit is responsible for collecting and evaluating the necessary information, documents, and statistics for the university’s projected budget and preparing it according to plans, programs, and principles. Its duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing payroll processes for all academic and administrative staff.
  • Calculating social security deductions and taxes.
  • Calculating and disbursing additional teaching fees.
  • Determining, collecting, and tracking fees during the student registration period.
  • Monitoring fixed assets and inventory processes.
  • Collecting, managing, and tracking revenues.
  • Monitoring debts and receivables.
  • Overseeing all accounting operations.
  • Tracking records and documents.
  • Providing financial services.
  • Preparing and submitting legal declarations and reports within the required deadlines.

The Information Technologies Office operates within the framework of total quality management principles, closely following emerging information technologies to provide the necessary technical services and equipment. This enables students and academic and administrative personnel to carry out their educational, administrative, cultural, and social activities at the highest level.

Its primary goal is to transform and deliver the latest information technologies into the education sector, ensuring that our university achieves its objectives and targets with high quality and standards.

By utilizing current information technologies to create integrated, secure, agile, and sustainable structures, the office aims to meet the needs of students, academics, and administrative staff while enhancing satisfaction and creating a distinct experience.

The Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports is responsible for our university’s healthy living, social, cultural, and sports activities, as well as university promotions. It aims to create a healthy and dynamic university environment that fosters cultural diversity, artistic development, active living, individual growth, social contribution, unity, and solidarity, while also enhancing the university’s brand value.

In this context:

  • Cultural Activities: The directorate organizes scientific and social activities for academic and administrative units, as well as events for student clubs.
  • Sports Activities: University sports teams are established, and sporting events are organized.
  • Promotional Activities: The directorate engages in activities that increase the university’s visibility among prospective students and related communities.

With principles of being friendly, inclusive, accessible, and continually evolving, the directorate aims to continuously improve the user experience, communicate effectively, support diversity, create an inclusive environment, and adapt quickly and flexibly to changing needs.

The department is responsible for managing all personnel matters for our university’s academic and administrative staff in accordance with the applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and university directives. Its main duty is to plan manpower based on the principle of having the right person in the right place at the right time and to develop policies in line with this approach. Additionally, the department oversees the orientation training and ongoing professional development for newly hired staff at our university.

The International Office consists of international student relations, international business development, and external relations units. This office provides guidance for international students who will be admitted to our university and manages their admission, registration, and personal affairs.
