On June 17, 2025, a delegation from Cyprus West University, consisting of the Advisor to the Board of Trustees and the Director of International Affairs, participated in this significant event.

Organized by Times Higher Education and co-hosted by Türkiye’s Council of Higher Education (YOK), this major international congress brought together global leaders from academia, government, and industry to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Opening addresses featured YOK President Erol Özvar, Turkey’s Industry and Technology Minister Çetin Ali Dönmez, North Cyprus Education Minister Nazım Çavuşoğlu, and Azerbaijan’s Science & Education Minister Emin Amrullayev.

During the congress, our delegation engaged in valuable interactions, including a dedicated moment with YOK President Erol Özvar and Azerbaijan’s Science & Education Minister Emin Amrullayev, where we had the opportunity to express Cyprus West University’s contributions to sustainable development initiatives.

CWU’s presence at the congress underscored our commitment to sustainable development and active engagement in global higher education collaboration.
