Admission and Registration
Cyprus West University invites international applicants to its undergraduate and master’s programs. Applications must be submitted online and are reviewed in accordance with current University regulations.
Application Process
International applicants must complete the online application form and upload all required documents through the University’s digital application system. The University may request additional documents or clarification during the review. Evaluation considers program level, academic qualifications, country-specific criteria, supporting documents, and language proficiency.
Undergraduate Admission
Undergraduate applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent secondary qualification. In some cases, an associate’s degree may be considered,
Documents Required for Undergraduate Applications
Undergraduate applicants must generally upload the following documents:
- High school diploma or equivalent graduation certificate
- Official transcript
- Passport copy
- Passport-size photograph
- Approved Turkish or English translation of documents issued in another language
- Language proficiency certificate(s), if available
- Any additional documents requested by the University during the evaluation
Master’s Degree Admission
Master’s applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
Documents Required for Master’s Applications
Master’s applicants must generally upload the following documents:
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent graduation document
- Official transcript
- Passport copy
- Passport-size photograph
- Approved Turkish or English translation of documents issued in another language
- Language proficiency certificate(s), if available
- Any additional academic or supporting documents requested by the University during the evaluation
Language Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the language requirements for their chosen program.
For English-medium programs, applicants may submit an accepted English language proficiency certificate.
For Turkish-medium programs, applicants must demonstrate the required proficiency in Turkish. Undergraduate programs taught in Turkish require proficiency at the B2 level.
Accepted English Language Certificates
For English-medium undergraduate and master’s programs, the University accepts the following English language proficiency exams:

Applicants who do not submit an accepted English language certificate must take the University’s Foreign Language Proficiency Test. Those who score at least 60% may begin their studies in the faculty program to which they were admitted. Applicants who score below 60% will be placed in the University’s English preparatory program according to their language level. For Turkish-medium programs, only a valid TÖMER certificate is accepted. As the University does not currently offer a Turkish preparatory program, applicants seeking admission to Turkish-medium programs must provide the required TÖMER certificate for admission and registration.
Conditional Offer Letter and Unconditional Acceptance Letter
After evaluating the online application and supporting documents, applicants who meet the academic and admission requirements may receive a Conditional Offer Letter. This letter confirms eligibility, pending completion of all admission conditions and procedures. Applicants who are already residing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are required to report to the International Office immediately upon receiving their Conditional Offer Letter, and before taking any further steps related to admission, visa, immigration, or registration procedures.
Applicants who fulfill all requirements and complete payment for the academic term will receive an Unconditional Acceptance Letter. This document is mandatory for visa and immigration purposes.
Visa and Entry Regulations
Before making travel arrangements, applicants should review the visa and entry regulations for their nationality and travel route. Some students may require a visa or prior approval before traveling. Each applicant is responsible for meeting all visa and travel requirements before departure. The Unconditional Acceptance Letter should be used when completing the relevant visa and entry procedures, where required.
Final Registration
Final registration is completed after the applicant:
- receives the required admission approval
- completes the required payment
- obtains any required visa or entry approval
- enters the country within the relevant registration period
During final registration, applicants must present original documents or officially certified copies of those previously submitted online.
Documents Required for Final Registration
For final registration, students are generally required to present the following:
- proof of tuition payment
- original diploma or equivalent graduation document appropriate to the program level
- original official transcript
- valid passport or identity document
- valid visa, entry, or residence-related document where required
- passport-size photograph
- accepted language proficiency document
- Any additional documents requested by the University
Applicants who do not complete final registration within the academic term may lose their registration rights and may need to reapply for a future intake.
Residence / Student Permit
International students are responsible for completing all visa, immigration, residence, and student permit procedures as required by the laws of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. After arrival and final registration, students must obtain their student permit within the required timeframe.

Submitting incomplete, false, misleading, or invalid documents may result in rejection of the application or cancellation of admission or registration. The University may request additional documents or clarification at any stage. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.
