Tuition Fees for Moroccan Students in Cyprus

One of the major advantages of studying in Cyprus from Morocco is the affordability of tuition fees. Cyprus West University offers competitive tuition rates, with opportunities for scholarships that significantly reduce the financial burden for Moroccan students in Cyprus.

For the academic year 2025-2026, the tuition fees for undergraduate programs without scholarships are $5,500. However, students can benefit from Cyprus scholarships for Moroccan students, which provide 50%, 60%, or even 75% scholarships, reducing the tuition fee to as low as $1,375 per year. This makes studying in Cyprus from Morocco a very cost-effective option. Graduate students can also take advantage of scholarships for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, where the fee is reduced from $6,000 to $3,000 with a scholarship.

Application Process for Moroccan Students in Cyprus

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

*Standard Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Programs:

Higher Secondary School Certificate or Diploma / At least two A Levels / IB Diploma/ 5 IGCSEs or equivalent qualifications.  Candidates must be aged between 17 and 25. Please check the minimum requirements based on your country.

*Standard Entry Requirements for the Graduate Programs:

A Bachelor’s degree certificate is required. Currently, we only offer an MBA program, so a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing is preferred. Students with degrees in other fields may need to take foundation courses. There is no age limit for the postgraduate program.

Language requirements:

We accept various international language proficiency test results. However, if a language proficiency certificate is not available, students must pass the CWU language proficiency test at the B2 level to continue their studies in English or Turkish for a Bachelor’s or Master’s program. This test will be administered by our Foreign Language School after the student arrives in TRNC. If a student does not pass the exam, they will be moved to an English preparatory course, where they can improve their language skills. Students will have up to two years ( four semesters)  to achieve at least a B2 level.

Acceptable Language Proficiency tests: 

The following proficiency test results are accepted for all undergraduate and graduate programs admission, provided they have been awarded within the past two years:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): IBT – 72, PBT-543
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 5.5
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59

Application Requirements: 

We are pleased to inform prospective students that the application process for admission is completely free and conducted online. Please note that we do not accept applications submitted by mail or post. To facilitate your application, kindly ensure that the following documents are submitted along with your application form:

  1. A scanned copy of your High School Diploma or its equivalent and detailed mark sheets or transcripts.
  2. A Bachelor’s Degree Certificate and Transcripts (for Graduate Admission).
  3. A scanned photocopy of your passport.
  4. A copy of your English language proficiency test results, if applicable.
  5. For transfer students, a copy of your academic transcript and course descriptions.

Study in Cyprus from Morocco

TRNC Visa Regulation

Student Visa Regulations:

Students from the following countries are required to apply for a TRNC study visa immediately after receiving their Unconditional Acceptance Letter. It is also advisable for students to check if they need a Turkish transit visa. Please note that having a TRNC study visa does not guarantee entry into the TRNC; the final decision will be made by immigration officers upon the student’s arrival at any TRNC port of entry. Students must carry all original educational documents, including certificates and transcripts. Additionally, it is essential to confirm accommodation arrangements before departing from your home country.

The countries that require a TRNC visa are as follows:

  • Syrian Arab Republic
  • Federal Republic of Nigeria
  • Republic of Armenia
  • Pakistan

Applications must be submitted in person at the nearest TRNC Representative Office or Consulate General. For a complete list of TRNC missions abroad, please click here. Students from countries not listed above can obtain an entry visa upon arrival at any TRNC port of entry. To enter the TRNC, you are allowed to travel with your acceptance letter from our university. If you require further assistance, please contact our International Admissions Office.

Turkish airport transit visa:

Students from the 57 countries listed below are required to obtain a Turkish double transit visa to travel to North Cyprus via any Turkish airport. It is essential to secure this transit visa before purchasing flight tickets or making other travel arrangements. Below is a table that lists the countries whose residents need a Turkish transit visa, along with the nearest Turkish diplomatic missions or visa application centre’s where students can apply.

Students from countries not mentioned above do not need a transit visa to travel to North Cyprus. However, for those from the specified countries, we strongly recommend visiting the Turkish embassy’s website or contacting government-authorized visa application centers for information on the visa application process and required documents. If there are no Turkish embassies or consulates in your vicinity, please apply through the nearest Turkish mission in your country.

How to Apply to CWU

Application Submission: Complete the online application form using the provided link. Ensure all mandatory fields are accurately filled and upload the necessary documents. Application Form Link.

Upon submission, a PIN Code will be displayed and sent to you via email and SMS. This code is essential for tracking your application status. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive it.

Application Tracking:

  • Use your PIN Code to log into our Application Tracking System where you can:
  • Monitor your application status
  • View admission decisions and scholarship allocations
  • Access payment details and confirmation letters

Admission Decision: Your application will be reviewed promptly, and a decision will be communicated within two working days. If successful, you’ll receive a Conditional Offer Letter the following day, which you must review and confirm for accuracy.

Payment: Secure your place by making the initial deposit as instructed in your Conditional Acceptance Letter. Payment can be completed online or via Bank Transfer.

Official Acceptance: After payment verification, you will receive your Official Acceptance Letter and Payment Confirmation Letter, these documents are vital for making travel arrangements and applying for a visa.

Cyprus Scholarships for Moroccan Students

As mentioned earlier, Cyprus scholarships for Moroccan students are an excellent way to reduce the financial burden of studying abroad. Cyprus West University offers several scholarship options, ranging from 50% to 75% off tuition fees, making it more affordable for Moroccan students in Cyprus to pursue their education.
